Bob's method of teaching first starts with basic principles, planning and composing a painting. He will then demonstrate how to find your basic shapes and values using a simple yet effective thumbnail value sketching process. Bob encourages all his students to view the scene or objects in front of them in an abstract way instead of seeing boats, rocks, docks, trees and water. You'll learn techniques to create both hard and soft edges, mixing luscious colors and strategic shape and color placement that will lead the viewers around the painting. Learn to paint with confidence using bold and loose brushwork - have fun and enjoy the process.
