Meet up daily at Driftwood Inn, 81 Washington Ave, Bailey Island, ME
From there we will select a different location each day to paint
-Work in Watercolors or Acrylics
Bob's method of teaching first starts with basic principles and foundation of planning and composition a painting, color harmony and balance. He will then demonstrate how to find your basic shapes and values using a simple yet effective thumbnail value sketching process. Bob encourages all his students to view the scene or objects in front of you in an abstract way instead of seeing boats, rocks, docks, trees and water. You'll learn techniques to create both hard and soft edges, mixing luscious colors and strategic shape and color placement that will lead the viewers around the painting - and create dynamic works of art. Learn to paint with confidence using bold and loose brushwork - have fun and enjoy the process.
Most students stay at the Driftwood Inn -
Spectacular views of the Casco Bay and the working fishing boats and busy gulls along Little Harbor. Enjoy waterside porches, homestyle breakfasts and dinners.
